Columbian Summer Camp Volunteers

The Colombian church holds a yearly UYC Summer Camp in Colombia. We will be returning to Hotel San Gil del Campo, located in San Gil, Santander, Colombia, between Bucaramanga and Bogotá.

Last year, we had an attendance of 19 campers from Colombia and Venezuela with a full array of Bible discussions or Christian living classes based on our UYC U.S. Theme, song leading training, swimming, fútbol (soccer), volleyball, a dance, amazing race, a visit to PANACHI -- Parque Nacional del Chicamocha, Bible skits and plenty of free time to relax and fellowship, including the sought after mid-afternoon siesta.

Bible Seminars in India

India is a vast country with many people hungry for the truth of God. In an effort to aid United Church of God's work in preaching the Gospel in this beautiful country one young man has endeavored to sponsor Bible Seminars in various cities. In these seminars he presents material from literature published by United Church of God.

We are seeking funds to cover travel costs and hall rental costs to sponsor three monthly seminars.

Water Tank in Lilongwe, Malawi

The United Church of God congregation in Lilongwe is currently in the construction phase of a church hall. Having a comfortable and steady place to meet is a huge blessing; however, the water supply in this area is unreliable, particularly in the dry season. A water tank would provide water reliably to the bathrooms and kitchen facility. This is a one-time cost, and will benefit the congregation for years to come.

Eagle's Nest Orphanage 2016

Good Works and United Youth Corps are once again co-sponsoring a project in Guatemala from December 25, 2016 to January 8, 2017.

United Youth Corps and Good Works will once again be co-sponsoring a project in Guatemala! This project will take place at the Eagle’s Nest Orphanage from Dec. 25, 2016, until Jan. 8, 2017. Plans are being made to have an event with the Guatemalan brethren’s children prior to going to Eagle’s Nest Orphanage.

Summer Family Camp in South Africa

This program will benefit the members of South Africa, as it will connect them with dedicated young adults in God’s church who display an attitude of service and care for others. The Youth Corps volunteers will gain a deeper understanding into the value of service to others. They will experience the education of international travel, and see how God’s people live in South Africa. They will learn valuable spiritual lessons that can then be shared in their local congregations.

Summer Camp in Maloca de Moscou, Brazil 2016

Good Works and United Youth Corps are co-sponsoring a project from December 25th, 2016 through January 2nd, 2017.

The project will be a summer camp for teens and young adults in Maloca de Moscou, Brazil. Volunteers will be asked to organize and run various activities, as well as introducing activities or sports they may not have had an opportunity to learn and/or play. Volunteers will teach the local brethren how to organize and run the activities for future years.

Summer Camp in Maloca de Moscou, Brazil

Good Works and United Youth Corps are co-sponsoring a project in Maloca de Moscou, Brazil from December 27th, 2015 through January 4th, 2016. We are seeking four individuals (ideally two men and two women) who are passionate about God’s way of life and are willing to stretch outside of their comfort zone. Team members should be able to maintain a positive attitude when faced with uncomfortable conditions, and be able to adapt to a changing schedule; proficiency in the Portuguese language helpful, but not necessary.

Funds are also necessary to purchase equipment related to the camp.
