The congregation in Bagaria, Kenya, has a need for a church building and property on which to build. Currently they meet under a piece of plastic! This means that during the dry season it is very hot, and in the rainy season it is very muddy.
The members are greatly invested in this venture, as they will do much of the work themselves. For things that they lack the skill to accomplish they will hire a local builder to complete. Currently they have to travel to the valley to meet, which is not central to where they live. The proposed property is on the mountain, meaning better access for our 25 members.
The property is half an acre, and is adjacent to two members' property so security is ensured. It will be fenced, and an outhouse facility is planned. The project would provide for the purchase of land, construction of the building, a latrine and 30 plastic chairs. The estimated cost of this project is $5,500.
