Monica says she wanted to participate in this project the moment she read the information in the United News. She thinks it's a wonderful opportunity to serve and grow while helping underprivileged children. Monica says the children at the orphanage don't have the opportunity for a lot of one-on-one time and she loved the idea of setting aside her time to go and help these children and spend time with them. She believes the opportunity to go and be a light to the people and children at the orphanage is a blessing and will be a worthwhile experience that she is excited for!

Monica is 20 years old and attends the Portsmouth, Ohio congregation of United Church of God. She is currently in college and has served at United Youth Camps for the past several years.
