Jorge was born in Mozambique, Africa and Kathy in Sharon, Pennsylvania. They met at the Feast of Tabernacles in Poconos in 1973, and married in December 1974. Jorge and Kathy have five children and seven grandchildren.

They served the United Church of God in South Africa and in 2002 Jorge was ordained at the Feast of Tabernacles in Uvongo, South Africa. In 2005 they immigrated to the United States and attended ABC. From 2010 Jorge started to serve the Portuguese speaking brethren around the world as a full time responsibility.

Kathy works as an administrator for Ambassador Bible Center.

Since 2004 Jorge has organized eight Feast sites in Portugal, three in Brazil and conducted various pastoral visits to Portugal and Brazil and from this year also to Angola. During January 2011 he and his wife were asked to also pastor the Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky congregations.
