Kathryn Youngblood grew up attending church in the Columbus, GA, congregation. She has been a part of the UYC camp program every summer since she was twelve, first as a camper and later as staff, and this past summer she had the additional opportunity of attending the Challenger West program. She now lives in Athens, GA, where she is a sophomore at the University of Georgia studying Environmental Engineering with a minor in Global Health. She is currently working for her professor as the social media manager for a research project involving tracking and quantifying marine debris. After college, she aspires to work in sustainable development in Latin America, so she is very excited for her first opportunity to be able to serve in this part of the world with Youth Corps.
