One thing I have noticed since we have arrived here is curiosity in the kids, especially the oldest ones, and their desire to learn and do new things. These kids are always open to doing something new and expanding their horizons in even the smallest of ways.
From the first day we arrived you could see their curiosity as they started to get to know us. During the past week and a half the older kids have gotten to go ziplining with us, which was a new experience for most, they have learned how to make new crafts, such as balls made out of sponges, and some have come to learn some line dances with us during some down time.
They have learned to play speedaway and to operate the various cameras we have with us.
But what I have loved the most was watching their curiosity as they hit keys on the piano and watch the hammer hit the various strings.
There is so much we can learn from the curiosity and desire to learn that is shown by these kids. We are never too old to stop learning, and the more we are curious about life the more interesting life becomes. Life isn’t defined by what we have, but by how we view the world around us and finding joy in the simple things.
