Here is what I wrote for my newsletter at work about this trip:
On Monday I'm leaving for 16-day trip to Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa. The schedule calls for a two day Lusaka conference with elders Wilson Nkhoma, Derrick Pringle of Zambia and Gracious Mpilangwe of Malawi. We have many things to discuss about the bright future of our congregations in this area. Considering the damage caused to our churches, I consider the recovery of South Central and South Africa nothing short of miraculous. New improved leadership has stepped up to leading and caring for the churches. In Zambia we have eight congregations consisting of more than 400 people. At our upcoming ministerial conference we will discuss local church management, evangelistic activity, financial accountability locally and with the home office, record keeping, Good Works/LifeNets work, church building construction, Fall Festivals, record-keeping, We will have a meeting with the Lusaka church later in the afternoon on Thursday. On Friday afternoon I fly to nearby Zimbabwe where I'll meet Mike and Primrose Mukarati. There I will hold a Kingdom of God Bible Seminar and a conventional church service. This is the first KOG seminar in Zimbabwe. On Monday I'll fly to South Africa and stay with dear friends the Wallises and Websters. They maintain the UCG office in Pretoria and manage literature fulfillment and letter answering. God has raised up these people for a time like this. For the Sabbath I will fly on to Capetown and do a Good News seminar talking about the meaning of our times. Capetown had an unusual response of more than 80 for the last Kingdom of God seminar. On Sunday I'll return to Johannesburg for a SANATCO (South African National Council) meeting. Our elder, Roy Demont, will come up from the South Coast for the meetings. It will be good to be with all as we work together. We do want to discuss a broader plan for managing our sub-Sahara part of the world. I'll blog this trip at http://blog.travelpod.com/travel-blog/victorkubik/11/tpod.html and from there you can request updates for when I blog.
